Joseph Koniak has a successful career spanning over 25 years as an award winning hair artist pushed by his passion for perfection.
Joseph began his career at Molton Brown becoming their youngest Artistic Director, working on seasonal collections and product shoots, before creating his own brand in 1999.
Joseph’s passion for film and TV has earned him Supervisor credits on Amazon’s upcoming My Lady Jane and Netflix award winning series Black Mirror; In addition he has showcased his creative flare on projects such as HBO’s House of the Dragon, Downtown Abbey, Riviera, Disney’s Cruella and Disney’s reworking of Cinderella to name but a few.
On set Joseph has had the pleasure of working with Hugh Laurie, Dominic Cooper, Otto Farrant, Jessica St. Clair, Leila Farzad, Charithra Chandran, Daniel Francis-Swaby, Rakie Ayola, Thomas Levin, Marli Siu, Vicky McClure, Ace Bhatti, Clara Rugaard, Danny Ramirez, Josh Hartnett, Auden Thornton, Anna Chanslor, Will Merrick, Will Keen, Isabella Brownson, Máiréad Tyers, Michael Workeyem Nikki Amuka-Bird and Suzy Nakamura.
Joseph’s expertise fuse both refined beauty and cutting-edge style. He has the ability to create timeless modern looks, from effortlessly undone and textured hair to elevated period styles with precision.
Joseph has been the Chief Hair Designer for renowned fashion designers such as Eli Saab, Suzanne Neville, Madeline Isaac James, and Alan Hannah. Joseph has also worked with teams on fashion shows for the likes of Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Mulberry, Oscar De La Renta, Paul Smith, Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood and Tom Ford.
Beyond his film and tv work Joseph has shared his knowledge across prestigious schools in the film industry, such as the Iver Academy, CBMA, and Creative Media Skills as a leading educator and is a Global ambassador and Artistic director for Revamp styling tools.
